Josh and I were scheduled to go to Branson this weekend. However, we were in a car accident eastbound on Highway 412 at milemarker 15 outside of Alpena this Friday. The car was towed away by a wreaker to Green Forest. The cop drove us to the Conoco gas station in Marble, the gas station my dad said had all the fishing stuff. (Gregory and Mom had been at a Greenland basketball game and unable to reach). Dad picked us up in his red minivan with a dvd screen playing the original Mighty Ducks movie. We felt bad to ruin the family night out. Josh offered dad a $20 bill, but he refused.

We are now driving a black Colbolt, rented from Enterprise. It includes a CD player but there's no automatic door lock and the windows have to be hand cranked. Tomorrow will reveal more details into the complexity of the accident and what our future rental situation will be. Josh is going down to Little Rock for the night to meet with the newly elected legislature. I am jealous. I asked when would I get to hob nob with the rich and famous. Josh corrected me by asking when would I get to hob nob with the "elected"?

We feel that the number of Christmas presents we have bought this year borders on the obscene (for us). However, for others, the number of gifts and the amount spent is probably normal...are we Grinches? Josh gave me one of my Christmas ornaments, but his has not yet arrived (dang internet purchases from unreliable sources).

Four days of work left in December. We will try to meet up with Jodi and Mike and Erica over the holidays. The move is fast approaching. Josh wrote to the Fayetteville Rotary club over a week ago but we have yet to hear anything from them. I packed my first box of clothing this weekend. Josh thinks we need to buy several Rubbermaid tupperware containers to hold our remaining clothing and papers. We'll see.

Josh just talked to Cory and he and Holly are having a baby in July. I'm happy NOT to be in the same boat!

Not too much longer to go......
